Allport Cars Airport Transfers

What happens if we have a problem while we are away?

Call our office and we will make any adjustments necessary to your booking and offer as much support as we can. 

 

Will you meet us any time of day or night?

Of course, we operate a 24 hour service and no extra charges are incurred for late nights or early morning transfers.  Christmas Day and Boxing Day are the only days that extra costs are levied on. 

 

How can I book with you?

By whichever means best suits you.  Emails can be sent to office@allportcars.net, text messages to 07909 231702 or telephone 01227 370370

 

How will we find our driver once we have landed?

Your driver will meet you at a designated point inside the airport terminal and will be holding a sign with your name on it. Please check your mobile as our drivers usually send a text containing their details so you would be able to contact them directly.  The airport can be very busy at times and if you can’t find your driver please call us on the usual number and we will contact the driver – this very rarely happens and most customers are soon able to locate their driver on arrival.  Alternatively if you do not have a mobile telephone please ask the information desk to page your driver. 

 

Do you provide child seats?

We can but we prefer to use your seats which we will store for you for use on your return journey.  We do have booster seats available.  Child seats are provided free of charge. 

 

What types of vehicle do you have?

We have a wide range of vehicles including VW Passats and Mercedes E Class cars.  All have air conditioning, carry safety equipment and hands free telephone equipment. 

 

What if my flight is delayed or arrives early?

We constantly monitor all flights for updated landing times.  If your flight is delayed or arrives early we will arrange the necessary changes. 

 

Is your company licensed and fully insured?

Yes – our drivers are also extensively vetted prior to employment and licensed by the local authority.

Can I smoke in the car?

No, we have to comply with government legislation which prohibits this.  However if you want to take a comfort break please ask your driver to stop en route. 

 

I am not sure what time to book my journey for – can you help me?

Of course we can.  Our expert knowledge of the motorways will help you decide if you need to book more time for the journey or if the roads are likely to be quieter. 

 

How do I pay for my journey?

We accept cash and all major credit and debit cards.  We no longer accept payment by cheque

 

I will need a receipt for my journey, how do I get one?

Please ask the driver who can issue you with one. 

 

Do I have to book in advance?

Yes due to our popularity we do get booked early. However we can sometimes accommodate bookings at short notice. If you have any questions regarding our Airport transfer service please do not hesitate to contact us. 

 

I am a new student coming to study at university in Canterbury – will you be able to accommodate my luggage when I arrive at the airport?

We would discuss how much luggage you have and advise you on the size of vehicle. As we have estate cars the boot space can often be configured to accommodate your needs. If you have any questions regarding our Airport transfer service please do not hesitate to contact us.

Heathrow – Once in the arrival hall.

Terminal 1 – Closed
Terminal 2 – Exit barrier in front of WH Smith
Terminal 3 – Boots
Terminal 4 – Costa Coffee
Terminal 5 – Costa Coffee

Gatwick – Once in the arrival hall.

South Terminal – WH Smith
North Terminal – In front of M & S Food

Luton, Stansted and City airport – your driver will contact you to discuss prior to meeting you.
